Had a good meeting with the doctor this morning. She informed us that my body could not be reacting any better to the chemo than it currently is. All signs look very good, my body is reacting perfectly, and the doctor is very happy with the outcome so far so that was a great way to start the day.

I am currently on day 6 of 7 of the chemo treatment so the induction phase is winding down quickly. 7 or 8 days from the end of chemo, I will go though some more bone marrow testing to determine exactly what effect the chemo had on the cancer, which will then lead us down the road for next steps.

Today was a bit of a tough day just in the fact that I was extremely tired and had a little bit of nauseau. Not sure why at this point. Could be the fact that we have had visitors every day since we got here and today was the first day we have been completely free. Regardless, I struggled all day just to keep my eyes open, but my body needed it so I went with it and ended up sleeping most of the day and catching up on some rest. Tomorrow will be the day that tells me if it is a reaction to the chemo or if I just needed a day to recharge.

That's about all we have to report on today. Thanks for reading and please keep us in your thoughts becuase you are in ours.

Doctor Bob had sex with one of his patients and had felt guilty all day long.

No matter how much he tried to forget about it, he couldn't. The guilt and sense of betrayal was overwhelming.

Every once in a while, however, he'd hear that soothing voice, within himself, trying to reassure him: "Bob, don't worry about it. You aren't the first doctor to sleep with one of their patients, and you won't be the last. And you're single. Let it go."

But invariably another voice would bring him back to reality: "Bob, you're a veterinarian!"

Hey Kurt!

Glad to hear that the chemo is going well.

About the nausea - a good friend of mine had beat breast cancer twice (and she's not even 30 yet!)with the help of chemo, and she swears that ice pops/popsicles got her through it.

Hope this helps! You are in our prayers.

Glad to hear chemo seems to be going well. Keep my fingers crossed for a smooth transition later this week for you. Sorry about Germany, but only once (i think) did a Euro champ go on to win the World Cup two years later (Germany btw). Good seeing you and keep up the strong fight!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know Christine and I are thinking of you and plan to come down again soon (Evey, Christine will call you). I am stealing your website/blog idea for my mom btw for her stuff. She really loves the idea and will make her life a lot easier. Was also out with some of the Ingram VAR guys last night (Kevin included),and everyone sends their best as well. See you soon, and thanks again for letting me steal your website idea!

Hi Kurt/Evey.

I may have a remedy for the nausea. . .

Its called Medinica and is a traditional Croatian sipping liqueur (essentially moonshine with a dash of honey) typically served in a chilled shot-glass. . . though I've heard accounts of it being consumed from pint-sized mugs :)

As with all things good, moderation is key . . . it is rumored that excess consumption may actually cause nausea as well as time-distortion :)

One account I heard spoke of a couple who departed for a rendezvous with family only to arrive at their destination a full 24-hours early with no concept of what just transpired . . . spooky :)

We're all going to miss the two of you in Croatia this summer but our thoughts will be with you. And rest assured, I'll procure some of this magic elixir for you but heed my warnings about the moderation as these stories are rumored to be true :)

Stay strong brother!
