Good evening everyone. So today is my third day of chemo in round number 2 and all is going well. I feel great and things are running smoothly. Aside from a little fatigue, I feel just as good as I did pre-chemo. This round of treatment will be over before I know it, just like the first round. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depends on the way you look at it I guess, that is about all I have to share. Things slow down over the weekend so you can expect the same amount of news tomorrow as you have read here today.

One thing I would like to do is use this opportunity to congratulate one of my best friends in the world, Jeff Harden on his marriage today to his beautiful new wife Julie. Not sure how you could have made this guy any better Julie, but today you did. Evey and I wish we were there to properly congratulate you both in person, but I know you could feel us there in spirit. Congratulations guys, we love you both!

Good night everyone and thanks for reading. Unless there is news coming in tomorrow, you'll hear back from us on Monday. Take care and be well.

Hi Kurt & Evey,

Just thought I would send a joke your way.

Carole L.

A young priest arrives at the monastery. He is assigned to helping the other priest in copying the old canons and laws of the church by hand.

He notices, however, that all of the priest are copying from copies, not from the original manuscript. So, the new priest goes to the Bishop to question this, pointing out that if someone made even a small error in the first copy, it would never be picked up! In fact, that error would be continued in all of the subsequent copies.

The Bishop says, 'We have been copying from the copies for centuries, but you make a good point, my son.'

He goes down into the dark caves underneath the monastery where the original manuscripts are held as archives in a locked vault that hasn't been opened for hundreds of years. Hours go by and nobody sees the old Bishop .

So, the young priest gets worried and goes down to look for him. He sees him banging his head against the wall and wailing,'We missed the R ! We missed th e R ! We missed the R !'

His forehead is all bloody and bruised and he is crying uncontrollably. The young priest asks the old Bishop, 'What's wrong, father?'

With A choking voice, the old Bishop replies, 'The word was...

What is Kurt's diagnosis?

AML is a type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes abnormal myeloblasts (a type of white blood cell), red blood cells, or platelets.

Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. This type of cancer usually gets worse quickly if it is not treated. It is the most common type of acute leukemia in adults. AML is also called acute myelogenous leukemia, acute myeloblastic leukemia, acute granulocytic leukemia, and acute nonlymphocytic leukemia.

This blog was created to post updates on Kurt and give all of our friends and family a forum to share notes and thoughts. Please check back often for updates.
