Kurt, I know that Van's passing is a big blow, as Van was a great friend of yours. When Van spoke of you his eyes always lit up, you could tell how much he cared. When I played golf recently with Van at Monarch he always made me feel better about life after being around him, he was always a guy that put others first. That's what made Van....Van. I know we are all trying to get through this difficult time leading up to the funeral, not sure what to say or do because it is so hard to understand and he is missed so much. I thought maybe down the road we could (after time has passed) think about having a "Van Skoglund Memorial Golf Tournament". I know many people that would want to play in it and donate to the cause, and Van was an old golf hacker wanna be himself..loved the game, and the appropriate beers after. Just an idea that I'd be happy to do the work on.
Aside from that, my prayers are with Van's family and yours, this has been a rough year. Van will be missed greatly....hope to see you soon Kurt.

What a great tribute you gave on Saturday. We know how hard that had to have been for you. Van was also blessed to have you as a friend.

Courier services began during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, with small companies in a handful of cities across the United States. When few homes had telephones, personal messages had to be carried by hand. Some early companies provided delivery of luggage and other packages. With the rise of large retail and department stores in the early twentieth century, package delivery services became even more popular. The scale of such services grew over the next several decades. Although fuel and rubber shortages during World War II caused a decline in the courier industry, the use of air freight by courier services after the war allowed for wider markets.come here
